A-Line is now hiring a Security (CVE) Engineer in Longmont, CO!
We are seeking a Security Engineer to join our team to perform
comprehensive testing on preproduction SSDs. The ideal candidate
will demonstrate technical ownership, develop strategic validation
processes, and enhance automation testing for leading-edge SSD
solutions. This is a full-time, day-shift opportunity with a
high-impact role across firmware and hardware development
cycles.

Security Engineer Compensation
The pay for this position is $50.00 per hour
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of
employment
A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees
with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Security Engineer Highlights
This position is a contract assignment with potential for permanent
hire based on attendance, performance, and business needs
The required availability for this position is Monday-Friday
8am-5pm ONSITE.
Security Engineer Responsibilities
Technical Ownership & Strategy
Review and optimize current test plans, coverage, and testing
activities for efficiency and effectiveness.
Recommend and implement new validation approaches to ensure
improved coverage, accurate testing, and expanded services.
Maintain current knowledge of product functionality and industry
certifications.
Requirements Analysis
Identify suitable test equipment and plan test schedules/strategies
aligned with project scope and timelines.
Collaborate with CVE and product design teams to align test cases
with firmware and hardware architecture.
Validation & Automation
Develop and execute a test automation strategy, contributing to the
development of in-house test frameworks/tools.
Evaluate, refine, and enforce validation methodologies and
processes.
Define, develop, and maintain test cases and scripts.
Test Execution
Supply and pre-format SSD and server samples for validation.
Execute validation plans and monitor test times to drive
efficiency.
Perform results analysis including Bin Pareto, generate clear
reports with insightful commentary, and track document
revisions.
Defect Management
Investigate and root-cause failures from upstream/downstream teams
or customers, and drive resolutions.
Document systematic steps to reproduce failures and ensure
traceability of bugs, gaps, and escapes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess results and
create deviation reports.
Security Engineer Requirements
Proven experience in SSD validation or a similar hardware/software
testing role.
Strong understanding of firmware/hardware architectures and test
automation frameworks.
Ability to plan, develop, and execute test strategies.
Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
Familiarity with defect management tools and processes.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering,
Computer Science, or related field preferred.
