You'll secure information, review coverages, arrange appraisals, and settle claims. You will report to a Manager. You will work in the field and handle moderately complex commercial property field claims typically within 1-2 hours of Denver/Colorado Springs, CO. You must be located within the region. A company fleet vehicle is provided with the position.Position Compensation Range:$67,000.00 - $111,000.00Pay Rate Type:SalaryCompensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.Job DescriptionPrimary AccountabilitiesYou will investigate origin and cause of claims by contacting the appropriate parties (insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, special investigation unit, other adjusters, or public personnel).You will handle both 1st party and 3rd party claims under multiple policy types and endorsements.You will conduct on-site inspections, evaluate damages, and handle claim negotiations with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and public adjusters.You will interpret and determine policies, leases, by-laws, declarations, articles and contract coverages and apply to all parties for assigned losses.You will provide all parties with claim process and status, answer questions from customers, and close files.Specialized Knowledge & Skills RequirementsDemonstrated experience providing customer-focused service.Demonstrated experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims across our operating territories.Demonstrated experience handling moderately complex claims.Solid understanding of policies and endorsements related to casualty coverages.Solid understanding of each phase of the claim handling process.LicensesValid driver's license required plus an acceptable driving record.Obtain state specific property casualty claims licensing.Travel RequirementsUp to 50%.CAT Duty/On Call required.Physical RequirementsAscend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, or poles. Visit areas that have a higher hazard than a typical office (customer homes).Move in different positions to accomplish tasks in different environments.Adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.Working ConditionsLow/high temperatures, outdoor elements (precipitation and wind).Noisy environments, poor ventilation, small and enclosed spaces.Additional QualificationsCandidates with 5+ years of property claims (ideally commercial) experience.Xactimate and Guidewire experience preferred.Based on qualifications, you may be considered at different levels.This is a flexible work arrangement where you will work from home, based in Denver/Colorado Springs, CO area. You will not report regularly to an office, but will work within your assigned territory.
