Job Duties and Responsibilities

As we continue to build out our 5G network, and navigate the changing landscape in television, we are looking to invest in growing our consumer direct/omnichannel capabilities. This individual will be a key contributor in building and enhancing this capability.

As a Product Designer I you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our digital products and experiences. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Researchers, and cross-functional teams to understand user needs, ideate innovative solutions, and create visually appealing designs. Your focuses will be on execution on research and collaborating closely with other designers and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of digital products and experiences as a User Experience Researcher, working on well-defined problems with clear direction from senior designers or managers.
  • Delve into user behaviors and motivations through research methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing to identify needs and pain points, while supporting research efforts but not always leading them.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define clear research objectives that align with both business goals and user needs, and contribute to UI designs, wireframes, and prototypes under guidance.
  • Plan and execute research studies, analyze data, and synthesize insights to inform design decisions and product strategy.
  • Advocate for the user throughout the product development process, ensuring design solutions are user-centered.
  • Continuously collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams, iterating on design solutions based on user feedback and usability testing.
    Skills, Experience and Requirements

    Experience and Education:
    • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in Design or Visual Communication, User Experience Design, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
    • Design Experience: 1-2 year of experience in product design roles, demonstrating a foundational understanding of design principles and user-centered design. May include academic projects, internships, or early professional experience.
    • Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing foundational design projects, including case studies that demonstrate basic understanding of design process and problem-solving.

      Skills and Qualifications:
      • Design Tools: Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software tools for prototyping, wireframing, and visual design.
      • Collaboration and Communication: Basic experience collaborating with stakeholders and communicating design concepts.
      • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
      • User-Centered Design: Understanding of user-centered design principles.
      • Design Thinking: Basic understanding of design thinking methodologies.
      • Interaction Design: Foundational skills in designing user interfaces (UI) and interactions.
      • Visual Design: Solid understanding of visual design principles.
      • Prototyping and Wireframing: Proficiency in prototyping tools to create basic interactive prototypes and wireframes.
      • Usability Testing: Basic understanding of usability testing.Design Systems: Knowledge of design systems and component libraries, ability to adopt to systemized designs.
      • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders under guidance.
      • Problem Solving and Adaptability: Emerging skills in navigating design challenges and adapting to requirements.

        Salary Ranges

        Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year

        The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
