seeking an experienced Systems Security Engineer with an active
security clearance. This role requires a self-sufficient
professional with proven platform engineering experience who can
integrate and deploy software applications in a secure
environment.Responsibilities:Design, develop and implement security
controls aligned with NIST SP 800-53 standards for on-premise,
hybrid and cloud infrastructureAssess security risks and ensure
compliance across servers, storage, networking, and application
platformsCollaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to
integrate security into system design and lifecycle
managementConduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and
continuous monitoring of datacenter systems and applicationsProvide
security recommendations for hardware, virtualization, and access
control solutionsOther duties as assignedRequirementsCurrent active
DoD security clearance5+ years of experience in on-premise system
security engineering or cybersecurity.Strong knowledge of NIST SP
800-53, FISMA, and datacenter security best practices.Experience
securing enterprise-grade servers, virtualization platforms
(VMware, Hyper-V), and storage systems.Proficiency in risk
assessment, access control, and incident response for on-prem
environments.Ability to work 100% on-site at company or customer
locationDetail orientedGood verbal and written communication
skillsPreferredSecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, Security+) are
a plus.Experience with artifact management and version control
systemsExperience with application security, KubernetesExperience
with Redhat products including Redhat Enterprise LinuxCOMSEC
experience and/or past experience as a COMSEC Responsible Officer
(CRO)Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service

HoursThe pay range for this position is $118,000 - $155,000 / year.
